Introduction

About Grace Period: After the round ends, there is a 24-hour grace period. During the grace period, all projects need to verify identity with HackerLink in case of a Sybil attack. After the grace period, all verified projects will be able to redeem community donation and prize pool distribution from project BUIDL page.

Binance Smart Chain Grant is a quadratic funding dapp that supports early-stage projects and ideas from open source developer communities. Grant allows both community members and organizations (foundations, venture funds, senior projects) to participate in funding developer projects and blockchain ventures. The goal of BSC Grant is to fund open source developers' projects via donation, so that these projects can develop further into a venture in the BSC ecosystem.

Binance Smart Chain Grant Round 1 is from June 7th to June 28th 2021. All African developers participating in this round can submit their project in the “Apply Grant” page and select “Binance Africa Hackathon” as project source. The submitted project will be displayed on the round’s “Grant BUIDLs” page immediately after verification. Also a real time community donation ranking will be available on a leaderboard.

For example Build NFT and gaming showcases: build applications that allow users to create, store and share their NFTs, NFTs marketplaces: build a marketplace that allow users to place, buy and sell their NFTs, BSC NFT projects dashboard — make a live dashboard that aggregates and filters all the BSC projects related to NFTs, Protocols on BSC for NFT fractionalization, lending, renting, Solutions for determining the authenticity of NFT, DeFi solutions etc.

FR Version: Détails sur la subvention Binance Smart Chain La subvention Binance Smart Chain est une dapp de financement quadratique qui soutient les projets et les idées en phase de démarrage des communautés de développeurs open source. La subvention permet à la fois aux membres de la communauté et aux organisations (fondations, fonds d’investissement, projets seniors) de participer au financement des projets de développeurs et d’entreprises blockchain. L’objectif de la subvention BSC est de financer les projets de développeurs open source par le biais de dons, afin que ces projets puissent se développer en une entreprise dans l'écosystème BSC.

Voting Mechanism

We are inspired by Vitalik Buterin's work "Quadratic Payments" and GitCoin's practice to implement this mechanism so that we can provide quadratic funding tools to the DoraHacks global hackathon community.

There will be two funding sources — the community donation and matching pool!

Matching pool: $10,000+ provided by Binance Smart Chain Investment team In case of a matching pool we will use a quadratic funding algorithm and the distribution of this pool will be determined by quadratic voting results from community contributors. Therefore, all community contributors will have a direct impact on the allocation of the $10, 000 prize pool.

Community Donation: Each community member can donate to any project(s) they like using their own wallets. It will be conducted on Hackerlink's hackathon page, where you can click «Vote» following selected projects and their votes will eventually determine how the sponsor pool gets distributed.

Everyone can use BNB to vote for projects and teams they like. The BNBs will be directly donated to the projects. 0.0001BNB for your first vote.

Judges Pick The Judges Pick will allocate $20,000 to outstanding projects that will impact the DeFi, NFTs, and “Africa Hero” space.

Open Prize The open Prize is specifically for BSC Projects that will be tasked to solve existing challenges. The scope of challenge to solve, process and prizes will be defined to all developers. If the community of developers completes the challenge, they will be awarded the set Prizes.
