Now, Dorahacks is supporting Solana in launching the Solana Riptide Hackathon@East Asia on the Developer Incentive Platform HackerLink! All developers and early-stage projects are welcome to join us, whether you’re from Asia, other parts of the earth, universe or Krypton :)

All kinds of dApps and projects including Payment, DeFi, Web3, GameFi, DAO, and anything beyond our imagination on Solana are welcome to join the Hackathon!

Schedule

• Registration Start Date: Feb. 8th, 2022

• East Asia Hackathon Registration Due Date: Mar. 25th

• Global Hackathon Registration Due Date: Mar. 17th (could apply with EA Hackathon together)

• Project Live Demo: Late of Feb.

• Project Voting Period: Feb. 8th - Mar. 25th

• Grace Period: Mar. 25 - Apr. 1st

• Winners Announced: Early of Apr.

Benefits to Join：

• Competitive Prize Pool：$100,000 quadratic funding prize pool + unlimited community voting contribution, and chance to win more than $5,000,000 prizes, rewards and seed-stage investment opportunities by participating in global hackathon!

• Team/Project Promotion: Every project will have a chance to participate in a live demo that is open to developer/hacker and investor communities.

• Investment Opportunities: Qualified projects of this hackathon will have chances to win more than $5,000,000 prizes, rewards and seed-stage investment opportunities.

Grant and Prize:

a. Community Voting Contribution: Voters could choose to support projects that they like by voting. All the votes will be distributed directly to projects.

b. $100,000 QF (quadratic funding) prize pool: QF prize pool will be distributed to projects by final popularity based on quadratic voting algorithm calculation. Please notice that: Voting numbers are the key metric.

c. 5,000,000 global prizes, rewards and seed-stage investment opportunities

Final Rewards for projects = Community Contribution + QF prize pool + Seed-stage investment opportunities

What is QF (Quadratic Funding)

Quadratic Voting is a voting scheme introduced and often discussed in the Radical Markets community. It is often considered an innovative improvement of the traditional 1-person-1-vote model. With a quadratic voting algorithm, the cost of each vote to a single project from a single contributor will increase, this encourages community contributors to vote to more projects.

Individual community contributors can vote for their preferred projects to push them ahead in the funding round. Votes are directly donated to the respective projects after the round.
